RESPONSE TO COVID-19 SITUATION
As throughout the world, we at the Midwestern Regional Climate Center (MRCC) are taking the COVID-19 health crisis seriously and doing what we can to prevent further spread of the virus. Our response has necessitated certain changes in the way we do business. We will make every effort to communicate to you any changes in or disruptions to our products, services, or operating status via this web page.
At the present time, the MRCC remains operational, with all our staff now working remotely.
- Please allow additional time for us to respond to any service inquiries and requests for climate data/information. We are presently unable to access our office facilities to receive any physical mail (e.g., ‘snail’ mail, packages, parcels, etc.), so we encourage you to communicate with us by E-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) or telephone (217-244-8226). If you reach our voice mail, please leave a detailed message and a call back number at which we can reach you.
- We have temporarily suspended MRCC’s servicing of requests for certified data until at least the end of April 2020. Certified data may be ordered from the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information, and MRCC staff will be happy to help you with making that request. Please contact us for assistance or for more information.
